设计与科技课程探索了数位科技和创意过程的世界。我们的领域在于多媒体，电脑学 Physical Computing，动画和传播设计Broadcast Design。我们认为纯艺术和设计是没有什么分别的，但是我们将工艺与创作过程分开来，如此学生发展的范围就更大了。在这个课程里，学生将像是在大设计公司一样的发展设计案，并独立制作，或团体合作来完成这些设计案。

New School University (NSU) is very strict about financial documentation. We try to be as demanding as the toughest US Embassy or Consulate. Our purpose is to insure that students are not denied visas because of financial problems. We require all students to meet these standards.
新学校大学(NSU)在财力证明文件上是非常严格的，我们试着像美国移民局那样严格。校方的目的是要保证学生不会因为财力问题的关系被美国移民局拒发签证，我们希望学生能遵守以下规定
1.You must have sufficient funds to complete each year of study. You may rely on funds from personal bank accounts， stock accounts， mutual funds， bonds， or other similar sources. You may also rely on account that belong to your sponsor(s). In either case you must show at the time you submit your I-20 Request Form that you (or your sponsor) have or will have prior to the beginning of each academic year sufficient fund to pay for year of study in your program.
1.你必须要有足够的财力来完成你每年的学业，你可以靠你自己在银行的户头，股票，共同基金，抵押，或是其他类似的资源。你也可以依靠你的保证人。当你提出学生签证申请表时，都必须附上这两种资源中的种。以表示你或你的保证人在每学年开始前都有足够的资金付你每年课程就读费用。 2. Personal Founs. Students can sponsor themselves in part or in full. Recent bank statements in your name must be provided for at least the current year (see #7 below). However， additional resource for continuing study must also be indicated， such as a trust fund， sponsor， etc. All students must prove that they will 、have support for each year of study.
2.个人担保. 学生可以自己担保自己一部份或是全部。最近的银行存款证明(上面必须要有你的名字)一定要能提供至少是今年的学费。(请看下面第七项)不过，能继续念下去的钱也需要有信用证明，或是保证人提供。所有的学生必须都要证明自己能负担的了每年的学费。
3. Scholarships and assistantships. You can submit an original ( or certified copy of a ) letter on official letter head from a private or government scholarship board stating how much money is tobe given and for how many years. Award letter must be in English or a certified translation， and monetary amount must be converted to US dollars. If you received a scholarship award from New School University.， you also need to send a copy of the award letter.
3.奖学金和助教奖学金. 你可以提出一个原稿(或是影本)证明你已拿到一个私人机构或是政府的奖学金这份正式文件上必须要有记载共多少钱，共可拿多少元。文件也必须是英文或是已经合法翻译的，而且金额必须已换成美元。如果你是拿到NSU的奖学金，你同样也需要附上一份奖学金的影本
4.You may have one or more sponsors. A Sponsor’s Affidavit of Support (or sponsor’s sworn statement) and financial documents must be provided for each sponsor. It is highly recommended that at least part of your financial support originate from your home country. This shows that you have ties to your home country and usually make s it easier to get an F1 visa. If you have several sponsors， photocopy the original form， but note that once these copies are filled out， each one with original writing must be notarized and submitted.
你可以有一位或是更多位的保证人，每个保证人都必须提出一封保证人宣誓书 (或是宣誓文件)以及财力文件。我们强烈建议你这些财力最好都是来自你的母国。这代表你回国意愿较高，而学生签证对你而言也会、较容易拿到。如果你有数位的保证人，请影印保证人填写表格，但是记得只要表格填好了 (每一份都要是原始填写的那份)，一定要拿去经过公证才会被接受。
Each Sponsor must submit at least two separate documents， and each of these documents must list the sponsor’s name in the same way.
每位保证人都需附上至少两份分开的文件，而且每份文件上写的保证人姓名必须写法相同。
a. A notarized affidavit stating the exact amount that the sponsor will provide per year (form in packet). All your sponsors must signaffidavits in the presence of notary publics who will verify the documents by signing and stamping them with an official seal.
a.一份写有保证人愿意支付费用的保证宣誓书。保证人必须在公证机构前公证签名，接着公证机构会验证这份宣誓书并在上面盖章。
b. A bank statement that states the date the account was opened and the current balance in US dollars. The statement must specify actual dollar amounts. If the sponsor does not want to disclose the exact amount of money in the account， enclose a letter on bank letterhead， with similar wording as on the clipboard.
b.一份银行文件，上面要有开户日期，以及当天存款金额(美金)。这份文件必须有确实的总存款金额。如果保证人不想要将所有的存款都公开出来，可以请银行开立如下表的简单信件证明保证金额。

c. Proof of income can be established by—
1) Letter from the employer on letterhead stating yearly income.
2) Copies of the sponsor’s most recent tax returns specifying income. If the sponsor is self-employed， the tax return should be done by a private banker or accountant， and must include an official statement with the salary paid to the owner.

5.New School University cannot accept documents from banks， US government officials， or any other party that say you (or your sponsor) have “enough” or “sufficient” funds to support a student. Financial documents must state the actual dollar amounts you (or your sponsor) have at your disposal. We will accept documents stating that income or saving are “ in the high five figures in US dollars，” I f those documents come from a bank or financial institution. Selfemployed sponsors must submit proof of income (for example， income tax returns)

A notarized Affidavit of Promise of Sponsor Providing Free Room and Board in the New York City Metropolitan Area ( in this I-20 Application Packet) b. A copy of the deed or rental lease for the apartment or house.

7.Do not submit old documents. US Embassies and Consulates as well as New School University require that financial documents not be more than four (4) months old.

8.Make verified copies with a notary public of all your I-20 application forms and supporting financial documents. The US Consul will require an I-20 and will also ask you to show the same documents you sent New School University to receive the I-20.

9.Submit documents as early as possible. Processing the I-20 Request Form takes time. It also takes time to apply for your F-1 visa at the US Embassy or Consulate in your home country. So make sure you properly complete all forms and submit in a timely manner.
